areca_RS_expansion

After changing all disk in RS to higher capacity, capacity of RaidSet? remain the same and VolumeSet? can not be expanded. Preferred procedure is backup data, destroy and create RS/VS again and restore data. But there is undocumented feature from areca support staff:

Dear Sir,

please follow the procedure below :
1. login the browser management console
Raidset Functions > Rescue RaidSet
2. enter the keyword "RESETCAPACITY Raid Set # 000", confirm and submit.
after that, controller will reconfigure the raidset capacity.

It seems working. Just type RESETCAPACITY <rsname> without quotas to RESCUE RaidSet? box and confirm. Next, modify capacity of desired volume, remain foreground initialization and confirm.

Areca starts init remaining volume part, so in my case start init from 50% upwards.
